Applications are invited for a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Creative Technologies (Computer Games Development). We are searching for someone with expertise in one or more of the following areas: programming for games and development (specifically in C++); programming with game engines including Unreal and Unity; console programming and development experience applicable to Sony Playstation 5 and Nintendo Switch.
The successful candidate will use their knowledge and experience to design and deliver engaging teaching, innovation and research at Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels. The post holder will support students to realise their potential, enabling them to build confidence, knowledge and resilience, enhancing the quality of the student experience and their outcomes.
A proactive approach to industrial engagement, research and/or professional practice and graduate employability is important; as is a passion for developing and diversifying the field of creative technologies. The successful candidate will focus on the alignment between professional practice and theory and ensure the courses remain engaging, relevant, innovative and take advantage of the opportunities offered by research and practice-led teaching.
