The University of Portsmouth is seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join its Recruitment and Outreach team as Outreach Coordinator. This is an exciting time of change across the sector and the University, and the role will provide the opportunity to grow within a large integrated Marketing and Communications team.
Working in collaboration with faculties and a variety of stakeholders you will deliver outreach initiatives in accordance with the University’s Access Agreement and recruitment strategy. The main focus of this role will be to work proactively with 11-16 schools, particularly in Portsmouth, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, to raise students’ aspirations to Higher Education and the University of Portsmouth.
The successful applicant will be results orientated with excellent communication and organisational skills. They will have extensive experience of working in the Widening Participation and Higher Education sector and will be educated to degree level. You must be prepared to work some evenings, travel locally and stay away from home occasionally.
The candidate selected for this position must undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check which will be provided once the selection process has been completed.
