A Learning Support Tutor in the areas of Mathematics and Physics is required to support students in the Faculty, with a particular focus on entry-level students, and also work flexibly between different Faculties within the University. Furthermore, the appointed person would support progression from Further to Higher Education by liaising with local colleges to provide subject-specific learning workshops. This role will join our current Learning Support Team as part of the Faculty Learning Support provision for students.
Learning Support Tutors provide high quality learning and skills support to our students under guidance from lecturing staff and the learning support coordinator. Tutors will contribute to the sourcing, production, evaluation and enhancement of learning support materials in a variety of media. Tutors provide one-to-one, small group and workshop help for students.
Specifically, we are looking for applicants with knowledge and preferrably experience of teaching in Further Education.
The successful candidate will be offered an extensive induction programme, training and mentorship, with further opportunities for professional development.
