Candidates are invited to apply for a permanent, full time post in the Department of Psychology. The Department is expanding its postgraduate provision in line with the University’s core theme of Health and Wellbeing.

We have a policy of linking our teaching, research and innovation, and are seeking highly motivated and collegial individuals who are passionate about their research and innovation, and who can deliver high quality engaging teaching.  We welcome applications from candidates in any area of Health Psychology who will enhance and/or extend the Department's research and innovation profile. Candidates will have demonstrable evidence of research or innovation excellence and / or practitioner experience relevant to health and well-being, commensurate with their stage of career that will enable them to contribute to the Department’s submission to the Research Excellence Framework. Experience of collaborative research in the health care sector would be an advantage.  

The Senior Lecturer post holder will act as course leader responsible for leading the development of, teaching and project supervision on, and accreditation of, a new MSc in Health Psychology.  They will also support some teaching and project supervision on our existing undergraduate and distance learning degrees.  For the Senior Lecturer post, candidates will be required to hold Chartered Health Psychologist status with the BPS and be registered as a Health Psychologist with the HCPC.
