The International Office has a dual recruitment and student support role managing the international student experience from enquiry to graduation. 

 

The University has almost 4000 international and EU students and the post is based in the very active and high-achieving International Office team.  Reporting to the Regional Manager, this post will be responsible for enhancing and increasing the University’s international profile by undertaking recruitment activities in international markets, attending exhibitions, managing agents and generating links with international partners.  Additionally, it will undertake an important admissions function.


You should have a good working knowledge of the international Higher Education market, first-hand experience of different countries and cultures, a proven ability to work independently in challenging cultural environments, and sound commercial and business awareness.  You should be able to demonstrate previous line management or capability.  You will possess excellent marketing, cross-cultural, communication and interpersonal skills and will be able to demonstrate an ability to work proactively and independently in challenging environments.

 

You should be educated to UK honours degree level.  Previous international marketing experience is essential, as is that of living, working or studying overseas.  This position will require extensive overseas travel with extended and irregular working hours.  You must be eligible for visa-free travel throughout the European Union and visa-waiver entry status to the United States and Canada.
