The Institute of Criminal Justice Studies is one of the largest criminology departments of its kind in the UK. ICJS is part of a thriving University which was recently awarded gold in the Teaching Excellence Framework. We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Counter Fraud Studies in order to further strengthen our growth in this area.
The successful applicant for the Lecturer/Senior Lecturer post will be expected to contribute to the delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, teaching both campus based and distance learning students. The person appointed will also be expected to contribute to the development and coordination of innovation activity in Counter Fraud, across the University. Expertise in counter fraud studies will be essential as will specific knowledge and experience of either counter corruption or economic crime. There is an expectation that the post holder will be active in research and innovation activity. Applicants should be educated to postgraduate level (preferably Doctoral level) and have relevant experience of working in a body with responsibility for countering fraud.
Applicants should be willing to travel in the UK and overseas and to be flexible in terms of their working week.
Appointment to Senior Lecturer will be determined by the level of academic qualifications and experience.
