An opportunity has arisen in the Academic Registry for an analyst with statistical analysis/modelling skills to help us improve the quality of management information we provide to the University of Portsmouth around the predictors of student success.  Their role will be designing and with staff in Information Services (IS) and Academic Registry implement a dashboard system across five Universities (University of Brighton, University of Portsmouth, University of Winchester, University of the Arts, London and Canterbury Christ Church University) as part of a HEFCE funded project.  The post holder will travel between sites but be based at the University of Portsmouth

 

We need a creative, self-motivated person who pays attention to detail and who also has good listening and people skills and is committed to delivering clear and accurate management data, making this information available in responsive, easily accessible and usable formats.

 

Ideally, you will have knowledge of IT systems and student records systems used in University or College settings, although you may not have experience of working with these.   You will have advanced skills in statistical analysis with learning or human data.  It is also desirable that you have previous experience in business analysis or some closely related activity gained from relevant employment in a UK HEI.

 

Although you will report to the Senior Registrar (Academic Management Information Division) the job will require you to work extensively with colleagues in Planning, IS and with the Leads on the Research project both at the University of Portsmouth and the project.
