We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Histopathology/Biomedical Science to join our successful, enthusiastic and friendly team.
You will be expected to have a doctoral qualification with knowledge and experience in biomedical science including clinical histopathology, the capacity to teach successfully to undergraduate and postgraduate students, including the delivery of laboratory classes and to supervise projects at both bachelors and postgraduate level. Your research interest is likely to be in an area of scientific or clinical research of strategic importance to the School as demonstrated by relevant publications in peer reviewed journals of international standing. You should also have the capacity to seek external research funding and to develop your teaching, scholarship and research activities. You will also be expected to contribute towards the co-ordination of the teaching and research activities of others and the development of our educational programmes.
You will be based in the Division of Biomedical Science within the School of Pharmacy & Biomedical Sciences which has a long and successful history of delivering accredited Biomedical Science provision. Staff within the Division include three Professors, one Reader, two Principal Lecturers, and six Senior Lecturers. Your teaching commitments will be predominantly to our BSc (Hons) Biomedical Science and MSc Medical Biotechnology programmes and but will also include other courses in the School’s teaching portfolio.
