A Senior Lecturer is required to develop and lead a new apprenticeship programme in the department. Initially the post will develop a new programme for the higher education academic professional.
The new Level 7 Academic Professional Degree Apprenticeship Standards are currently in development. In readiness for their publication the School of Education is seeking to employ a new member of staff who will be responsible for the development and leadership of a new academic qualification which will enable participants to work towards the new Academic Professional Degree Apprenticeship standards. In order to develop a coherent programme the successful candidate will also establish and maintain professional partnerships with the Department for Curriculum and Quality Enhancement (DCQE) and other external bodies, as appropriate.
In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to undertake research and knowledge transfer activities that support the School’s professional and vocational courses.
We are looking for a talented individual with a strong commitment to high quality teaching and research. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, be student-centred, and have relevant teaching experience, knowledge and understanding of the further education and training sector and knowledge of online/blended learning.
