An outstanding leadership position in Media and Communications

As Head of Media and Communications, you will oversee and manage proactive and reactive communications and will develop and protect the University’s corporate reputation and brand.  You will also lead and manage the Media and Communications Team which covers media engagement, PR, internal communications, crisis management, events, and social media.  You will have responsibility for leading and championing internal and external communications; ensuring effective strategy, delivery and evaluation of all PR and communications activities.

With a proven record of achievement in media relations and/or public relations, you will have extensive experience of leading on significant communications activity, including sensitive and high profile media inquiries.  As an effective communicator, you will have a genuine passion and creative approach to communications with experience of establishing effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and extensive experience in the use of digital channels.

This is a challenging and stimulating role that requires a proven track record in communications strategy, events management, social media and media relations. You will be educated to degree level and/or possess a relevant marketing or communications qualification.  Experience of working for an international or an education organisation would be an added advantage. You will have an eye for detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as being an effective team player with the ability to work under pressure and deliver on targets.
