The HR Department is looking to recruit to the post of HR Compliance Adviser.
The post holder will play a key role in supporting and implementing the University’s United Kingdom Visas and Immigration (UKVI) policies and procedures. You will be responsible for managing the day to day queries and communication about immigration status from managers and potential sponsored staff and students wishing to work at the University. You will provide guidance and expertise on the relevant visa process to follow for visiting staff to the University.
You will also take the lead in ensuring the University or HR department is up-to-date with UKVI legislation including keeping abreast of Brexit implications. Working with colleagues in International Office and Academic Registry and Employability you will develop mutual processes and systems that allow all areas of the University to be fully conversant with the UKVI requirements.
The role also covers other areas of HR Compliance including Safeguarding, GDPR and provision of Management Information.
As well as expertise in UKVI policies and procedures, candidates should have an interest in HR and how the compliance role supports the Human Resources department.
