The School of Mechanical and Design Engineering has a track record of sustained excellence in teaching and research as evidenced by the consistently very high student satisfaction scores in the National Student Survey, the excellent employability record of our graduates, and the results of the most recent Research Excellence Framework submission. We offer a full range of degree courses across mechanical and manufacturing engineering, product design and engineering management.

 

The School is seeking to appoint a motivated and committed individual to a lecturer role to teach and develop the curriculum in areas of industrial design engineering, specifically computer aided design and computer aided manufacturing, and other core subject areas.

 

This is an exciting position, which reflects our ambition to deliver engineering courses of the highest standard. We are particularly interested in applicants who have experience in teaching these subjects, industrial experience and/or research and income generation in an area which complements our existing activity. The successful post holder will be an excellent team player, able to encourage, motivate and inspire students about their area of specialism and contribute to the academic duties of the School.
