An opportunity has now arisen to join the Finance Department as part of the Research Finance Team, playing a part in the provision of the pre and post award accounting function for the University’s externally funded Research projects.

 

The successful applicant should have a personable, professional, methodical approach. Working as part of a team - the successful applicant will have the following attributes:-

 

·         Ability to communicate well with staff of all levels of seniority; to work under pressure with attention to detail and minimum supervision.

·         Ability to be an effective team player.

·         Ability to work with various computerised systems and portals.

·         Flexibility and the willingness to adapt in a constantly changing environment.

·         Ability to discuss finance with both finance staff and non-financial stakeholders, both internally in and externally to the University.

 

The role would suit applicants who are highly motivated, and able to work with enthusiasm under pressure, and to tight deadlines, whilst demonstrating the Hallmarks of a Portsmouth University employee.
