The Faculty of Creative and Cultural Industries (CCI) is seeking a committed Promotions Assistant to help with all aspects of the project management and promotion of the Faculty’s events and exhibitions programme, including the planning of the annual Graduation Show.
Being a member of the Promotions team, you will deliver a diverse range of high-quality projects open to the public such as events, pop-up and off-site exhibitions, screenings, live performances and talks. You will gain valuable experience whilst assisting in event programming and will have the opportunity to work directly with creative industries practitioners, academics and researchers.
Opportunities to develop the creative discipline you are studying may be possible during the placement.
This full-time position would suit a creative student who has excellent English language copy-writing and reporting skills for populating the faculty CCI blog ‘Creative Space‘, whilst having enthusiasm and some experience of organising an event, student show, performance or exhibition or other relevant experience. You will also be responsible for managing the Faculty's social media, this may include producing promotional material such as; posters, flyers and films for Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
You will develop excellent administrative, project management and communication skills, both written and interpersonal, and a key part of the role offers the opportunity to further develop CCI’s social media platforms reaching a wide and varied audience.
You must have the ability to deal courteously with a wide range of people from different backgrounds at varying levels from inside and outside the university.

You should be registered on an undergraduate degree course in one of the schools within the Faculty of Creative and Cultural Industries. Unfortunately, this position is not open to graduates.
You must be a 2nd year student in the current academic year 2018/19 to apply.
