The Faculty of Creative and Cultural Industries is seeking to appoint an exceptional and motivated individual, with appropriate academic experience, to lead the newly formed School of Art, Design and Performance.

The School engages in teaching, research and innovation in graphic design and illustration, fashion and textiles, photography, drama, performance and musical theatre. This combination of subjects provides an exciting and creative opportunity to shape the development, portfolio and character of the University’s provision in creative & performing arts, and the Head of School will be responsible for sustaining excellence, innovation and professional alignment of these areas.

As Head of School you will be formally responsible for leading and managing the academic business of the School in relation to both strategic and operational matters. In this respect, you will play a leading role and will be responsible for devising and implementing plans in alignment with Faculty and University strategies and objectives. As Head of School you will have significant responsibility for budget, resource and staff line management including all aspects of staff development. Collaborative and visionary, you will work as a member of the Faculty Executive Team alongside senior staff to provide decisive leadership within the School, Faculty and University.
