The School of the Environment, Geography and Geosciences is seeking to appoint two committed individuals to the position of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Palaeontology.

The School is based within the Faculty of Science and Health and holds strong teaching and research links with many collaborators both from within academia, industry and the public sector.  The successful applicant will be passionate about education, research and innovation and be able to effectively articulate their contribution to delivering high quality services.  You will join our existing team delivering first class education to students in the School.

We are seeking applicants with expertise in at least one of the following areas: vertebrate palaeontology, palaeobotany, micropalaeontology, isotopes, climate proxies, carbonate sedimentology and/or petroleum geology. The post holder will be required to design and deliver first class teaching (including fieldwork) and pastoral support to our students in addition to undertaking research and/or innovation activities at a level commensurate to their role. Their teaching contribution will draw upon their specialist expertise as well as contributing to the broad coverage of provision across our courses.

The successful applicant will be appointed on the Lecturer or Senior Lecturer scale in accordance with qualifications and experience.
