The Faculty of Creative and Cultural Industries is seeking to appoint an exceptional and motivated individual, with appropriate academic experience, to lead the School of Creative Technologies.

 

The School engages in teaching, research and innovation in computer games, animation and VFX, digital and media technologies, sound and music technologies. This combination of subjects provides an exciting and creative opportunity to shape the development, portfolio and character of the University’s provision of these interconnected disciplines, and the Head of School will be responsible for sustaining excellence, innovation and professional alignment of these areas.

 

As Head of School you will be formally responsible for leading and managing the academic business of the School in relation to both strategic and operational matters. In this respect, you will play a leading role and will be responsible for devising and implementing plans in alignment with Faculty and University strategies and objectives. As Head of School you will have significant responsibility for budget, resource and staff line management including all aspects of staff development. Collaborative and visionary, you will work as a member of the Faculty Executive Team alongside senior staff to provide decisive leadership within the School, Faculty and University.
