You will be required to work a 37 hour week, Monday – Friday.

 

The position is for a fully qualified electrician who has gained experience and skills in a similar industry. The person will be working mainly with other electricians and various trades and maintenance staff. You will be working around a large site with various type, size and age of buildings ranging from accommodation to lecture rooms, offices, receptions, laboratories etc., carrying out maintenance and repair with some minor installation work.

 

There will be some weekend work as and when required depending upon business needs, prior notice will usually be given. There is a requirement to participate in a call out rota for out of hours issues which you will be involved in.

 

It is highly desirable that the successful applicant will hold a current full British driving licence as the successful applicant will be required to travel around the UoP estate with spares/tools during working hours and out of hours (when on call). You will have a proven track record of working in similar multi building businesses. Have strong customer service skills, be adaptable and be able to work on their own and as part of a team.

 

Induction training will be given and the position requires a medium / high level of manual handling. Uniform and safety shoes will be provided as well as a university vehicle.
