The School of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences has a track record of sustained excellence in teaching and research as evidenced by the consistently very high student satisfaction scores in the National Student Survey, the excellent employability record of our graduates, and the results of the Research Excellence Framework (REF2014) submission.

 

The School of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences wishes to appoint a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer, ideally qualified to PhD level, in the field of clinical/medical genetics.

 

You will contribute towards teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels on courses including BSc (Hons) Biomedical Science, MSc Medical Biotechnology, and other related subjects. You will be committed to excellence in teaching at all levels. You will also make a significant contribution into the design and management of degree pathways.

 

You should have a good record of publishing in peer reviewed journals and ideally have some success in obtaining research funding. You will be expected to make an active contribution to the research profile of the school.


You will have drive, an innovative approach to learning, teaching and research, and enjoy working collaboratively in a dynamic environment. 

 

The successful applicant will be appointed on the Lecturer or Senior Lecturer scale in accordance with qualifications and experience.
