Due to the company’s main sector of operation, for this role you will need to gain SC Security Clearance, this will involve a BPSS check plus UK criminal & security checks plus a credit check. You do not have to be a British National but you do need to have been a FULL TIME RESIDENCE in the UK for a minimum of 5 years at the time of the application (3 years may also be considered). The Company

Polaris was founded in 2001, and since then has grown strongly in the Defence Sector. Polaris is now seeking to use their existing capabilities in additional industry sectors.
The Project
To develop a decision support analysis tool to enhance evidence based decision making in the Offshore Wind sector, growing Polaris’ capabilities and revenue.
The Role
Project management – managing all aspects of the project to a successful conclusion.
Marketing – analysing the off shore wind industry to identify target areas to apply our capabilities
Modelling – developing the modelling technique that best suits the target application
Customer engagement – working with customers in the offshore industry to organise a case study example, gathering data and presenting findings
Tool development – building a user friendly tool to enable Polaris consultants to utilise the new capability.
Knowledge transfer – embedding the tool and capability developed into the company.
This is an exciting opportunity open to a master level graduate in either Operational Research, Applied Maths or equivalent. The successful applicant will have graduated within the last 5 years, be highly motivated and able to demonstrate some previous successful experience in a relevant role. The success of this project could lead to the opportunity of a position at the company.
