The Faculty of Business and Law wishes to recruit Part Time Hourly Paid (PTHP) lecturers to provide academic support to the Royal Air Force.
Located at the RAF College, Cranwell, Lincolnshire, the minimum academic requirement is an MA, MPhil or equivalent in a defence-related subject. Teaching will comprise small-group teaching (seminars/SRDs) and/or exam and essay marking across the RAF’s Initial Officer Training Curriculum. This comprises primarily air power and defence studies with elements of international relations, ethics, leadership and geopolitics and is set at Level 4/5 (1st and 2nd year undergraduate). Applicants must be prepared to teach and mark across the whole range of subjects taught.
You should reside at a location such that you are able to fulfil the duties of this role and be prepared to commit to a programme of marking and mentoring. You must be willing to undergo MoD security clearance, and act to retain that clearance, and to follow a strict dress code at the place of work.
Interviews will take place on Tuesday 3rd October 2017 at the Royal Air Force College, Cranwell, Sleaford, Lincolnshire, NG34 8HG. Interviews will consist of a presentation and interview panel; the subject for the presentation will be specified in the application pack.
